Champions League: crazy match between Galatasaray and Manchester United, PSV overthrow Sevilla FC

Trailing twice by a two-goal difference, Galatasaray never gave up and ended up snatching a draw against Manchester United (3-3) which allowed them to believe in their chances of qualifying. In group B, PSV achieved a great feat by winning in Seville 3-2 after being down 0-2. A very important stunning success for the Dutch, which does not help Lens affairs at all.

“Welcome to hell” . Galatasaray supporters promised hell to the Manchester United players as they entered the field of this "small final" of Group A. It must be said that the Turks (3rd with 4 points at kick-off) had a unique opportunity to qualify for the round of 16 in the event of success, and at the same time eliminate their evening opponents (4th with 3 points). Except that the English may have been on alternating current since the start of the season, they did not forget to put on their outfit for the big European evenings. After his splendid acrobatic return last weekend, Garnacho improved this excellent shift from Bruno  Fernandes to open the scoring with a shot under the bar (0-1, 10th).

Then the passer sent a huge shot under the bar to give his team a break in the lead (0-2, 18th). Manchester had done the hardest part but quickly fell back into these failings. After a hot ball cleared in disaster by Amrabat (22nd), Ziyech restarted the match with a free kick which caught Onana on the wrong foot (1-2, 28th). Galatasaray even created several situations to equalize (30th, 35th) and even thought of achieving it with Icardi (43rd), finally flagged offside by a hair. The pressure did not ease after returning from the locker room but Kaan Ayhan's shot ended up in the side net (47th). The Red Devils let this heat wave pass to better sting.

Galatasaray and MU gave everything

Shifted to the right side by Anthony, Wan-Bissaka placed a perfect ball for McTominay who was decisive at the near post (1-3, 54th). This time, it felt good for the English but it was without counting on a new hand error from Onana on this second free kick from Ziyech (2-3, 62nd), he who was already not impeccable on the first goal for the Moroccan. A new one that changes everything and boosts the morale of the Turks, who even managed to equalize with this nice goal from Aktürkoglu (3-3, 70th). The end of the match became crazy with opportunities everywhere (Garnacho 74th, Pellistri 81st, Bruno Fernandes' post 85th, and Zaha 58th and 86th). A final save from Muslera in front of McTominay (89th) put an end to a completely wild match. MU may have regrets because they will have to go through an exploit against Bayern on the last day to hope to qualify.

The other meeting at the start of the evening interested the Lensois, who travel to Arsenal at 9 p.m. In this group B, Sevilla FC hosted PSV in the hope of finally obtaining their first victory in this Champions League campaign and relaunching themselves in the race for qualification. The Andalusians got off to the best start with several situations (10th, 15th, 21st) and the opener from Ramos (1-0, 24th). The break was slow in coming between a goal denied to Sow (39th) and the bar of En-Nesyri (41st) but the Moroccan finally found the target after the break (2-0, 47th).

PSV returns to Sevilla

The last half hour was much more difficult for the locals, in particular because of the second yellow of Ocampos (65th). Ten against eleven, they absorbed Saibari's reduction in the gap (2-1, 68th) then Gudelj scored against his side (2-2, 81st). Worse still, Ricardo Pepi offered an unexpected success to the Dutch in stoppage time (2-3, 90th + 2). A victory which also hurts the Lensois, now relegated to three points, while Sevilla can still finish 3rd in the event of a victory at Bollaert in two weeks.

The results of the 6:45 p.m. matches:

Group A:

Galatasaray 3 - 3 Manchester United: Ziyech (27th, 62nd), Aktürkoglu (70th); Garnacho (10th), Bruno Fernandes (18th), McTominay (54th)

Group B:
