Like every year now, CAF organizes its own ceremony: the CAF Awards. The body thus rewards the best player of the season for the traditional African Ballon d'Or. This season, there were a lot of people and CAF had recently unveiled a list of 30 names then a new list of 10 finalists. In the latter, we found Victor Osimhen but also Yassine Bounou , considered favorite for the coronation with the Nigerian, or Riyad Mahrez , author of a historic hat-trick with Manchester City.

Well this Thursday, CAF announced the three finalists for its African Ballon d'Or and the choices caused a lot of reaction. Despite his XXL season with Morocco and Seville, Yassine Bounou is not present just like Riyad Mahrez. In these three finalists, we surprisingly find Achraf Hakimi from PSG. The Moroccan right-back is accompanied by Mohamed Salah , always performing well with Liverpool even when his team is doing less well. Finally, the big favorite and probable winner Victor Osimhen who shone with Naples , is also in the list.
