Diego Maradona's death linked to cocaine, says medical report

More than three years after his death, the circumstances of his death are still not clearly established. Diego Maradona died of a heart attack, as announced by the hospital spokesperson on Wednesday November 25, 2020. The exact causes of his death remain unclear. Eight health professionals were indicted, accused of leaving El Pibe de Oro in critical condition for hours as his health deteriorated. Their trial will begin on June 4 and, to prove their innocence, a counter-analysis was carried out.

According to The Sun , this analysis suggests that “ingestion of a toxic substance” could be the cause of his death. Diego Maradona's heart attack could therefore have a natural origin or be due to a so-called "external" factor, such as cocaine. More than 200 witnesses are expected to testify in the Buenos Aires trial, which is expected to last several months.
